It's the beginning of November
and all I remember is there was you and me
you were too tired to sleep, you were too tired
so you kept staring out of the car at the trees
you said "you know, we could just leave"
you said "you know, we don't have to stay here"
I couldn't think, of a good reason
to keep driving
so I drove home
Now it's the end of September
and I can't remember what was holding us back
being young and alone doesn't seem so bad.
